Servicing a wide range of industries and clients from agricultural to mining and domestic sectors.

Role Overview

Based from our head office in Mackay, our electricians have the opportunity to work infield – locally and throughout the surrounding regions, predominately on jobs and projects from the agricultural, mining and water treatment markets.

Working alongside other tradespersons on a variety of equipment provides opportunity for growth and gaining experience in all aspects of pumping and water treatment.

This role does require the ability to work away from home – accommodation and meals provided.

Company maintained service vehicle, mobile phone, uniforms and PPE supplied.

Inductions and work related training competencies provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical works involving but not limited to installing, fault finding, trouble shooting, conducting repairs and maintenance to pumps, irrigators and VSD controllers
  • Ensure compliance with procedures, applicable standards and statutory requirements (particularly in reference to voltage drop, current capacity and wiring)
  • Assist with onsite electrical works and commissioning
  • Control circuit design and modifications
  • Fault finding and programming of PLC, HDMI and VSD
  • Terminations, splicing and test and tag of electrical equipment

Eligibility

  • Hold a current electrical licence (electrical fitter / mechanic)
  • Have a background in industrial electrical – ideally experience with process electrical and VSD control systems.
  • Be able to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Hold a current manual Driver’s License
  • Supply own hand tools

Desirable Experience – but not essential

  • Electrical experience with pumps and basic understanding of fluid dynamics
  • Qualified Technical Person (QTP) competency
