Role Overview
Based from our Mackay head office and as part of the Safety and Human Resources department this role is multifaceted across the Dowdens Group. Incorporating safety aspects such as risk assessments and incident reporting as well as HR orientated tasks including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement and site compliance – no two days are the same!
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting end to end recruitment including onboarding of new employees
- Aid in the administration of managing end to end employee life cycle
- Site compliance and training – work with Supervisors and Managers to schedule and coordinate training and site compliance, including inductions for a wide range of sites throughout Queensland.
- Assisting the Payroll Officer with weekly payroll
- Helping maintain and implement Safety and HR processes, systems and initiatives
Eligibility
- A strong background in administration, time management and compliance, where you’ve juggled priorities and delivered results
- Experience in the Safety and / or Human Resources sectors
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
- Confidence in using business systems and a quick learner when it comes to new platforms (experience with BHP Intelics, ResHealth, LMS, BISTrainer etc. an advantage)
